They are set to tie the knot after same-sex marriage was made legal in Australia last year.

And loved-up Tim Dormer and Ash Toweel are enjoying a romantic getaway ahead of their self-described ‘big gay wedding’.

The happy couple are spending time at the River Island Nature Retreat in NSW this week, where ‘clothing is optional’.

Tim posted a sweet, and very cheeky photo, of the duo exploring their surroundings completely nude.

‘Nothing but nature #NudistRetreat,’ Tim captioned the photograph.

Tim and Ash became engaged in June last year, and shortly after flashed their engagement rings on the red carpet.

Of the rings, Tim told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We chose pyrite because it’s a very protective stone, shielding from negative energies or intentions against the wearer.’

‘We kind of liked that our engagement rings were a symbol of protection which gave us strength during the challenges over the last few months of the marriage equality debate.’

The reality star said the pair picked out the rings together from a shop on San Francisco’s famous Haight and Ashbury Streets while on a romantic holiday.

While the price of the rings are unknown, retailer Loved To Death within the famous shopping precinct lists ‘Pyrite Sterling Silver Rings’ on their website from $170.

Tim has clearly been a fan of the style for some time, Tweeting in May: ‘Have you ever seen a pyrite Crystal reflect light? It’s a bloody gold diamond.’

ENGAGED: Tim confirmed they got engaged in the city soon after purchasing the rings, with smitten beach snaps posted on Instagram believed to have been from the moment they said 'yes'

Overjoyed by how 2017 has so far played out, Tim gushed to Daily Mail Australia last year: ‘This year is what we call our own “endless summer of love”, we came out to the world with our relationship last summer in December, travelled overseas to enjoy a romantic trip in the summer in the states where we got engaged, and now it’s summer again here and we can legally get married!’

The couple celebrated their engagement days before Parliament officially passed a bill to make same-sex marriage legal, with the ecstatic couple already eager to plan a ‘big gay wedding’.

‘We’re so thrilled that Australia has embraced same-sex couples like ourselves, it means that young LGBTQ kids can now dream that one day they will find that special person and have a fairytale happy ending,’ Tim said, adding: ‘That’s a dream that up until very recently, I didn’t think could ever be a reality for me.’

Meanwhile, he hopes his blossoming relationship can be a beacon of hope and love for others: ‘We’d love to be sending out a positive message to the world through our relationship…the world really does need to celebrate love because it’s what unites us all no matter your sexual preference, religion or race.’

Already planning their wedding, Tim told WHO Magazine at the time they want another outdoor gathering for when they tie the knot: ‘We’d love to do a beach wedding so it won’t be in a church but we’re still quite spiritual ourselves.’

He also joked to Yahoo!Be: ‘The only way I’m going to turn my big gay wedding Pinterest dream-board into a reality is if I win another reality TV show.’

Last year, Tim popped the question to Ash on a beach in the US.

‘Once again alone on a beach, we asked each other an important question… we both answered yes,’ Tim shared with his followers in September – months after the proposal.

‘We were going to keep this little secret to ourselves. But love is better when shared.’

Tim first revealed to fans he was in a relationship with best friend Ash in December 2016 after meeting him at a party in 2013 after winning Big Brother.
